There is a quiet trap the mind falls into.
Sometimes it lives in memories, replaying moments that can never be changed. Other times it keeps reaching for a future where happiness always seems to exist just beyond the next achievement, the next success, the next destination.
Between yesterday and tomorrow, the present quietly slips away.
Dreams and Memories explores this inner tension. Suspended between two invisible directions, the figure no longer belongs entirely to either one. The flowing fabric becomes a visual metaphor for the thoughts that carry us away from the only moment where life truly unfolds.
The painting is not about rejecting memories or abandoning dreams. Both shape who we are. But when they begin to replace the present instead of enriching it, they become another way the mind keeps us from experiencing life as it is.
